New Home for Vici Psychological Care!

Furniture move-in day!

Furniture move-in day!

I have exciting news to share with all of you!

The new home for Vici Psychological Care, LLC (aka me) is in Allendale, NJ!

I am very excited to make this move, and I know 2020 and 2021 have been a crazy ride. The last thing I wanted was one more change. However, this location has allowed me to return to in-person sessions sooner, and I think you will all like it!

I am sure many of you have questions, and I am going to hopefully answer some of the more common ones I think would come up. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask me!

Can I still see you in your Waldwick office?
Unfortunately, no. I have not been physically conducting sessions in the Waldwick office since March 2020. As of May 2021, I no longer hold space at the Franklin Turnpike address.

What if I don’t want to travel to the new location?
I totally get that! The awesome part about the new location is that it is 3 minutes/a little over a mile from the Waldwick office. The new address is 1 De Mercurio Drive Suite 5B, Allendale, NJ 07401. If you are familiar with the area, it is across the street from Acme, Starbucks, and a few other businesses. As long as telehealth sessions are clinically appropriate, they will continue to be an option for anyone who does not want to travel.

Why did you leave the Waldwick location?
I was provided with the opportunity to move locations and found that it was the best decision for my business. As mentioned above, it also allows me more flexibility and control over when in-person sessions can resume, and for me to grow my practice.

Can I still see you remotely/virtually?
YES! I provided telehealth prior to the pandemic (before it was cool), and they will always be an option when it is clinically appropriate. You will be provided with the choice of 100% remote sessions or a hybrid approach. Remote sessions will also be strongly encouraged when the weather isn’t cooperating or if you are ill/contagious, but feel up for talking.

What does the new office look like?
I have included some photos and a video below to help with the transition. You can also see the street view, courtesy of Google! The office is in a 2 story office building (similar to the Waldwick location). It is wheelchair accessible and has a pretty cool design. There is upper and lower parking, and outside stairs with a courtyard.  The building is also being renovated to include an elevator and an addition in the future. My office is suite 5B, which is located at the back of the building and near the lower lot. There is a cute stream in the back and a little farm across the stream where you can see ponies and chickens!

Who else is in the building?
There are several other providers in the building including a chiropractor, dentist, accountant, other mental health providers, and an interior designer.

Will I need a key to use the bathroom?
No! That is actually one of the first questions I asked when I saw the place. The bathrooms are single stalled/gender-neutral and there are two on my level. You do not need a key to access them. :)

What will the waiting room look like?
The waiting area is set up a little differently, which will assist with increasing confidentiality and privacy, as well as social distancing. Unlike the Waldwick location, you no longer enter a larger office suite with a waiting area. The lower level has a small, shared waiting area (see photo above) where you are free to sit, but most people prefer to wait in their car or visit the stream/farm animals until their appointment time. Depending on CDC guidelines when in-person sessions resume, the waiting area may be off-limits at first.

Is there still the “secret” door?
The second door to leave in the Waldwick location was pretty awesome! The new location has two doors that you can enter/leave, and the choice is always yours. My office is located closer to the one door, and it is a very long hallway, but you are free to use whichever door you wish.

Did you bring the spinny chairs with you?
Sadly, no. The spin chairs were not mine for the taking. However, there is all new furniture in this office that I think you will be happy about.

Is the game closet going with you?
Sadly, no. The game closest was a tad difficult to figure out how to take. However, there are plenty of games at the new location and if there isn’t a game there that was in the old closet, you let me know and I will see if I can get it!
